i have a 2001 seville sts with the hid headlight system. one is bad. can i replace it with an aftermarket system or do i have t go to the dealership and get charged a fortune?its best to replace the parts with factory but yes you can get an aftermarket part to use on your car. but you still have to use the same type of bulb for your headlights though. we have a place called smart parts that sells them it is much cheaper than the dealer they are in orem utah if you want to look them upthere should be no problem using an aftermarket hid headlight. but make sure the new one is the correct application. using a higher wattage bulb can cause problems#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
