First official shoot this weekend

  • It's a portfolio building shoot. They arent paying for the session but will be buying prints along with the free 8x10 I am including with is part of the deal.
    Already have my modeling contract ready. It's at the beach, family of 5. They are neighbors and our sons play together. I'm still a bit nervous but excited!

  • Not bringing a reflector (don't have one). I am bringing my flash and am gonna use that for some of the pictures. And yes, the contract does include a section about the minors :)


  • Does your contract include something about the minors?

    A shoot at the beach can be tricky. Watch the water reflections and the sand, both of which can fool your sensor. Are you bringing a reflector?

    I was soooooooo excited when I did my first portfolio building shoot. Try to get some good sleep the night before (I didn't) and try to relax (hard, but eventually you will get in the zone).

  • If you don't have a reflector, get a piece of foam core board (any craft store sells it).
