i just want to add to what the others have said.... it also depends on the amount of nerve endings in the place where you are getting the tattoo.
I have five and of my five tattoos the one that hurt the worst and actually almost brought me to tears was the one around my wrist. Specifically when he got to the inside part of my wrist. I asked the artist why and he said, you have a lot of nerve endings there. (shrug) That's what he said anyway. And that tat only took maybe 15 mins. I have a big one on my back that took two and a half hours and that one was nothing. ;)if you get it on a bony are it does hurt really bad.my friend really wanted one and she got it on her ankle to hid it from her parents. if you get it like on your arm or where ever..it feels like fire touching your skin.I have a few tattoos and i have to tell u that it rele depends on ur pain tolerance. I have one on my hip that hardly hurt at all, one on my neck that hurt just a little, and one across my back that was kind of like torture lol, but, nothing unbearable. All i can tell u is dont get worked up about it. just focus on something else. having someone there to talk to u is a great way to distract urself, also, bring ur ipod, the music can also help to distract u from the pain.It depends on the area that you get it and your pain tolerance. Of all my tattoos the one that hurt the least was on my shoulder and biceps. Areas like this that have a lot of muscle tend to hurt less....chest, hands, feet, and elbows hurt like hell.
Also it totally depends on pain tolerance of the individual, for some people getting a tattoo doesn't hurt at all and it's like a massage, and for others it will hurt no matter where they are getting it. It's kind of in between for me. The good thing is though once you get it done, the pain instantly goes away as soon as the needle moves away from the skin where the ink was inserted. (unlike piercings, which hurt and irritate for a long time after you get it done).it depends where but alot of other girls have one now and they seem to be ok Depends on where you get it and how much detail is in it- I got one last night on my ribs, and I really felt like it was tortchar- Really hurt very bad- but I got one on my forearm and I could have slept through it- It also depends on your pain tolerancethe more boney the area the more it hurtsthink that u scratch your skin with a 2 or 3 sharp needles thousands times....#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
