Is there a way to get the results of a papsmear without one...like bloodwork or something?

It's not painful, and it doesn't take long.
Because blood work can check for STDs, but you need the smear to test for cervical cancer... trust me. A smear test is not painful, and you shouldn't be embarrassed about it. All intelligent women know they have to d this to make sure they are healthy in that area - how could you not want to take every precaution against ill-health?
Really you have to ask yourself, would it be harder to have a quick, easy, painless test done...or not discover a problem until it's too late? I know what the smart choice is there...
The only other blood test I know of (can't remember what it's called) tests for ovarian cancer, but in order for you to check for cervical cell abnormalities you have to get a pap.
Your smears are an essential part of your health. Please take them. x
edit: I'd like to add that there is no 'scraping' involved. Its a tiny little rubber brush which is brushed against your cervix. Maybe more women would go for smears if fewer people described the process in such a horrible way!
