I have irregular periods. I started a very light period (not normal for me) on 10/31. It was VERY light for 11 days then quit for like a day and started again but isnt enough to wear a pad. It is only there when i wipe and is mixed with a clear mucus like discharge. I was diagnosed with MRSA and hospitalized from 10/29-11/3. While i was in the hospital i was given vancomyacin and clyndomyacin. I broke out in a major all over body rash from the clydomyacin. Could this have something to do with the bleeding? Irregular periods can happen for a multitude of reasons. Are you under a lot of stress? Have you recently gone through a tragedy? These things can actually affect your period drastically. If this is happening, I would suggest meditation or doing things that you find to be relaxing or that you find to make you happy. Mucus discharge is totally normal, it can just be your body's way of cleansing out or it can also mean that you are just fertile. Light periods for 11 days is somewhat unordinary, I would suggest making a doctors appointment for that and have them check it out. I once wiped too hard and that caused a light bleeding, could you have done anything like that in the past? I would suggest excersisng to try and get regularity, refrain from drinking caffeinated beverages. Sometimes spotting when you wipe is a sign of an infection that can be treated easily when you visit a doctor. Also if you are on certain birth control pills, they also elongate and sometimes mess up your period cycle. Basically, the menstrual cycle is so complicated and has so many things can affect it that you need to sit down and document any changes that have been made in your life physically or mentally, any changes in diet or exercise regime and take these to your doctor. Also mention the clyndomyacin and see what they say. I would recommend a female doctor because they tend to know much more about periods!
