How do I keep my cat from peeing in my dogs water bowl. I just got a new puppy and I brought her home and put a water bowl down and my cat is getting into with all four paws and is peeing in it. I have caught her in the act 3 times.i don't know if this is the best answer, but until you can think of some way to constantly be able to catch her in the act so u can say "NO!" before she does it, until she gets the message, for now if I were you I would keep them in separate areas where the cat cant get to the water bowl. You may need to keep the cat in a separate room temporarily. But that doesn't really solve the problem. It just temporarily stops it from happening so your poor puppy can drink water and not pee-water. While they're separated you should call a vet or something about the cat's problem.
