Prime will prevent rust, and the paint will stay on longer.primer is needed before painting to prevent rust and help paint stick betterprimed means you just have to paint it, not means you have to hit it with the primer first.Plastic bumper? Primed means it can be scuff sanded then painted.Non primed means it needs thorough cleaning, watersanding, and a coat of flexible primer made for plastic. Then paint.I know you've already gotten the answers about priming but just to add to it. I hope you're not planning on trying to paint it yourself. Unless you've got all of the professional equipment it will look like you did it yourself with a can of spray paint. If it's just the bumper that needs paint take just the bumper to the shop and let them do it, it will be less than $80.00 to get a paint job that looks like it came from the factory.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
