My cat loves to lick plastic bags, does anybody else's cat do the same thing and why?My cat does that too. I just watch her so she doesn't hurt herself with it and make sure that when I leave the house there isn't anything she can get into. I think that she does it because it she can make the noise or maybe it feels good on her teeth, I'm not sure. I just make sure she's safe with it. And it's cute when she plays with it.My cat and my parents cat do the same thing. Its because plastic is mostly synthetic, but does have traces of natural rubber which comes from a plant that in the wild cats will eat.Our cats always licked plastic bags as well as photographs and since many other people I know tell me that their cats do the same thing, there has to be a reason that so many cats engage in the same behavior.
Not being a cat, LOL :) I can only tell you what I THINK it has to do with and I think that this has something to do with the ingredients in these particular items that seems to appeal to a cat's taste.My cat licks and chews on plastic bags. We have to keep an eye on her so she doesn't actually eat them. I would also like to know why she does this.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
